13 Days in Hell
Rated 4.5 / 5 stars December 23, 2007
Alright
I've been playing this game the last couple of days, and I finally beat it.
Here's a few suggestion:
-The learning curve for the aiming system is a little too steep in my opinion. Once you learn to predict the aiming reticle's movement, it begins to become second nature. However, I believe that some people will become discouraged because they think it makes the game too hard.
-The hit ditection is just a bit off. Hitting arms and legs should affect the enemies at least a little; if not by damaging them at least by stunning them. Also, headshots should deal lots of damage regardless of the armor the enemy is wearing.
-The upgrade system is basic, but very functional. I would like to see it expanded, perhaps allowing player to customize guns and ammo. Maybe allowing players to purchase which weapons they want, and providing a breif description, would be better. Also, I would like to see the option to upgrade the main character's stats. Being able to purchase more health, better armor, and more aiming stability would all be viable options that would increase the enjoyment factor of this game.
-If you implement a movement system in the next game, I would suggest making it akin to the Time Crisis games. I have a feeling, that if you allow players to move freely around in the environment, the game will become overwhelming. I do most of my gaming on a laptop with a touchpad, so controlling keyboard and mouse functions at the same time proves to be somewhat difficult. If you were to develop a system that automatically move players to different locations throughout the level (again, like Time Crisis), the game would flow more smoothly.
-The attacks are limited only to shooting. Perhaps you could implement a melee attack for emergencies. Also, the addition of grenades would be nice, maybe even healthpacks.
Overall, this is a fantastic game. It kept me coming back for more until I beat it, and the save system works perfectly. I'm looking forward to more installments of this series.

Hilarious
Fantastic! I'm pretty sure that if God exists, he/she/it/they/whatever has a sense of humor, therefore he/she/it/they/whatever is probably somewhere in the universe playing this game right now.

Neat
I don't know how to make flash, so I can't comment on your action scripting skill, but this was exactly what I expected. Kept me occupied for a few minutes while I was trying to draw an anime face, but then I got mad because the touch pad on my laptop is dumb. But that's not the game's fault, it's Sony's. Also, I prefer cake to pie.

Again, music for an uncomfortable scene. The blowing wind evokes feelings of isolation, yet the lapping water reminds me of a tomb. The electronica sound, with all the reverb, gives a produces undertones of being awake in a strange place. Overall, a very nice )and very minimalist) ambient piece.

This reminds me of Blade Runner. It's a bit uncomfortable, but I think it would be great for an uncomfortable scene, something dark, sterile, and set in the future. It brings about visualizations of something deep and endless.

Nice
The music made it one of the funniest flashes I have ever seen.

Realy nice
I 5'd it.
There was a math error in the beginning. 1994 - 1956 = 38, not 48 years.
I didn't think the voice acting was that bad. I have a sort of deep, gruff voice. Man, if you want to PM me, and maybe set up some kind of collab, I'd be willing to do that. I've done a little voice work before, and I really want to get into flash making, but I like the programming skills. Anyway, let me know.
Uhhh... cheers for the review, but it really was 48 years
1994 - 1946 ,, not 1956 it's good you made a close observation of my work though, i appreciate it
cheers :D
